  • Madison Park City Council minutes, June 23, 2008

Larry Brackett ... said he lives in Madison Park. His concern is that they do not have a level playing field. Neither he nor the school asked for sidewalks on his block. Someone who will not be impacted made the request to CDOT to install them and impact his neighborhood. He said the democratic process is missing from the CDOT process, and he does not want to have to go through this each time a special interest group comes to CDOT and tries to dictate what he can and cannot do with his property.

Councilmember Lassiter said maybe this is for you, Dan. Several years ago the Police Athletic League used to use that gymnasium for their activities but had to stop using it because the floor was no longer viable for public use. What is going on relative to the internal maintenance? I think it's still owned by the Board of Education.

  • Cotswold City Council minutes, June 16, 2008

As Mr. Lassiter had said, this will be the first major development in the Cotswold area in now at least ten years if not 12 years, and I am not going to support the motion to deny, and I would like for us to think hard about our ability to have that section of that block redeveloped and re-energized with folks and services that will help people. It's a medical office building.

William Brandon said I'm with Inspiration Station Child Development Center. I bought a piece of property on The Plaza and Barrington about nine months ago. Found out it was incorrectly zoned, and I'm just here to get it rezoned for the proper zoning, and if you have any questions, I'll entertain them at this time.

In terms of studies that we have done on view corridors, I am not aware of any. I know there are some provisions in the, I believe, UMUD district that deals with shadow provisions in the uptown area but not specifically with view corridors.

  • Sedgefield City Council minutes, June 09, 2008

There are some portions of the plan that extend into the Sedgefield neighborhood that have a pretty dramatic drop-off in the proposed densities or zonings, specifically there are tracts that are TOD that abut tracts that are R-4.

  • Sedgefield City Council minutes, June 09, 2008

The Sedgefield neighborhood you can see here is single family homes, the Brookhill Village Apartments is in there, a lot of older warehouse buildings, some of them still in use, some of them already transitioning to higher mixed-use uses, and a lot of strip commercial, which is the kind of thing which we think over time is going to be replaced as a part of the vision, which is for one of a series of high density nodes along the south corridor.

  • Strawn Apartments City Council minutes, June 09, 2008

  • Tryon Hills City Council minutes, June 02, 2008

Southside Homes has Brookhill, and Delahey Courts has Tryon Hills. Those aren't all multifamily. Well, they are not all apartment complexes. They are even small five- or six-unit ones, but most of them are duplexes, but, again, it's low income housing.

  • Grier Heights City Council minutes, June 02, 2008

I own just in the Grier Heights area alone somewhere around 40-something units. I have worked with Officer Brian Sharp, Officer Stephanie White, and several other officers through the years since the early `90s. I have a process that is almost foolproof because it requires a lot of work and not every single individual is a landlord just because they can buy a property and rent it. It requires some attention.

  • Colonial Village City Council minutes, May 28, 2008

The recommendation from staff is to take it from Colonial Village/Sedgefield project and simply do the planning and design work on that, but staff has stated that if we were to make this change they would recommend that we move Pawtucket out of the 2010 bonds. My suggestion only related to the 2008 bonds which does not affect Pawtucket.
