The man showed up at a gas station at the corner of Eastway Drive and Shamrock Drive about 9 p.m. and said the little girl was in the back seat of a car that had been taken during a robbery.

Police say Boyd told them Thursday evening that he had been carjacked and robbed, and that a 4-year-old girl was in the carjacked vehicle. The alleged carjacking and kidnapping happened about 9:30 p.m. in the 2100 block of Eastway Drive in northeast Charlotte.
