The Freedom Division comprises 46.1 square miles of residential, industrial, and commercial properties. There are 81 officers, eight sergeants, one investigative technician and a captain assigned to the division.

This occurs when police check an area around a business, school or home, either at the request of a resident or because of recent crime in the area.
