Robbery from person—armed
Victim sitting in his care at gas pumps when a black male wearing red clothing approached him armed with a handgun. The suspect took the victims gun (that was on the front seat) and told him to run away. The victim fled on foot. The suspect left in a white cadillac.

400 block of W. Craighead Rd.
Robbery from person—armed
The victim had just got off the bus and was walking to his apartment when a small, blue, four-door sports car pulled up. Three Hispanic males with blue bandanas covering their faces exited the car. Two of the suspects were armed; one with a revolver and one with a semi automatic handgun. The suspects kicked the victim and hit him on the back of his head with a gun. The suspects then took the victim¿s shoes and book bag. The victim sustained a minor cut to the back of his head behind his right ear. Non-life-threatening injury¿no shots fired. The victim was unable to provide a last known direction of travel for the suspects.

7100 block of Barrington Dr.
Robbery from person—strong arm
The victim was walking along Barrington Drive when 10-15 young black males approached him on foot. The young males began beating the victim with their fists and took $15 from the victim. No visible injuries to the victim. The victim was unable to provide a better description of the suspects.

Pecan Ave. @ Chesterfield Ave.
Larceny
Larceny suspect (weapon involved) from earlier today 20091010083700 at the S A Food mart on Commonwealth Ave. The suspect was spotted in the area of Pecan Ave. and Chesterfield Ave. by a local citizen. The suspect was again spotted on Central Ave. and Hawthrone Ln. riding a bike. The suspect jumped off the bike and ran from officers and was later spotted on the roof of a building at Louise and Belmont Ave. Officers confronted the suspect, after refusing commands the suspect was tased and taken into custody.

Assist fire department
Fire inside Target inside the baby department. Fire was contained by CFD. Everyone was evacuated from the store. It is suspected that a receptacle may have caught on fire. No injuries.

Albemarle Road & Cabarrus Road
Injury to Real/Personal Property
CMPD received calls from citizens advising that a B/M wearing a costume was in the middle of the street swinging a stick or pole of some type trying to hit people's vehicles. Officers arrived and struggled with the suspect, having to deploy the taser and use OC spray which had little effect on the suspect. After more officers arrived the suspect was taken into custody. The suspect damaged 3 vehicles. No injuries to any individuals.
