Rape / sexual assault
The victim's mother brought her to the ER claiming that she had been abducted and raped. The victim, a juvenile, claimed to have been abducted on Sunday by a group of men, but could not recollect where she had been for the last 5 days. The victim had no injuries.

5800 block of Cedars East Court
Robbery from person—armed
The victim was shot once in each thigh by the suspects during a robbery attempt. The suspects are described as 2 BMs who fled the area in a light brown four door Honda. The victim was transported to Carolinas Medical Center.

5800 block of Beaconsfield Road
Missing person
5 yr old male reported missing and not seen since 6:30 pm. Officers and CFD searched the residence and area for the child and located the child's bike near a residence. There was no one at the residence. CMPD Helicopter responded to the scene. The child was located at approx 9:15 pm in the care of another family and unharmed.

1100 block of Lakemist Drive
Robbery from person—armed
2 H/M victims were talking in the parking lot when they were approached by 2 B/M suspects who were armed and demanded property from them. Officers pulled up as the robbery was occurring and chased the suspects on foot. 1 was captured quickly, the other one about an hour later. 2 females were also arrested in reference to this robbery. Robbery is interviewing the arrested suspects. No injuries, no shots fired and the victims' property was recovered. Great Job!

E. Independence Blvd. & Sharon Amity Road
Accident-fatality
2 vehicle accident. One vehicle made an illegal left turn from Independence outbound onto Sharon Amity. The passenger in that vehicle died as a result of the accident. A 4 yr old child in that vehicle also sustained what is believed to be NLT but serious injuries. The driver has NLT injuries. The other vehicle had a female and two children in it and all sustained NLT injuries. HITS is investigating this accident.
