900 block of Iberville Street
Domestic disturbance
Officers responded to a call in reference to a male subject assaulting his mother. Upon arrival the female was found injured and Medic was called to the scene. When officers attempted to speak with the suspect he locked himself in a bathroom with a gun and threatened to shoot officers. A perimeter was set up, SWAT Officers were summoned, but prior to their arrival and deployment the suspect was taken into custody when he came out of the residence unarmed. Great job by all.

Death investigation
Male subject deceased of an apparent self inflicted gun shot wound. Homicide, CD-CP, Mobile Crisis responded to the scene to assist with this investigation.

5900 block of Winburn Lane
Breaking and entering residential-occupied
Male suspect broke into a home and was arrested a short time later. The suspect had ingested a large amount of drugs and had to be transported to CMC Pineville and then later to jail. Suspect is Eric Spanjer, W/M, 12/31/71.

Robbery from business—armed
A suspect entered the business and indicated that he had a weapon. He robbed the business of cash from the register. In the process, the clerk was able to activate the silent alarm. Officers arrived as the suspect was leaving, and he was apprehended on scene. No injuries. Robbery detectives assisting.

Robbery from business—armed
The clerk advised that 2 suspects entered the business, displayed a handgun, and took money from the register. Both suspect were arrested shortly thereafter, and the stolen property recovered. No injuries. Ropbery detectives called in to interview.

1200 block of Norris Avenue
Breaking and entering residential-occupied
Victim advised 2 black males attempted to rob him. The victim attempted to catch up to the suspects but was unable to do so. While at home and on the phone with 911, a B/F approached the residence and advised she was robbed and needed to use the phone. The victim handed the complainant the phone and she walked outside. When the victim heard the door, a B/M entered the residence and the two began wrestling. The victim was able to get free to grab a hammer. The suspects, both B/M and B/F fled the residence. No injuries reported.
