• 3700 block of Ottington Place Assault with a deadly weapon-with injury

  (2) B/M suspects forced entry into the victims residence and shot one of the occupants. The victim was transported to the hospital with NLT injuries. The suspects fled the area on foot.

  The victim reported that the suspect robbed them at knifepoint and stabbed the victim in the leg. The suspect also suffered a stab wound from fighting with the victim. The victim knows the suspect. Both the victim and the suspect were taken to the hospital for treatment of a NLT injury.

• 3300 block of Statesville Rd Robbery from person—armed

  The victim was walking on the sidewalk along Statesville Ave when a B/M came up behind him and hit him in the knee with a metal pipe. The victim fell to the ground and the suspect hit the victim several more times in the knee area telling the victim to give him his coat. At this time two additional people walked up and told the suspect to stop and leave the victim alone. The suspect walked away with the other people. The victim was transported to CMC. The only description he could provide was a B/M approximately 6'0.

• 11700 block of North Tryon Street Accident-fatality

  Officers are scene of a traffic fatality involving a pedestrian. Initial indications are that the pedestrian was walking in the middle of the road in an area where there is no cross walk and no close side streets. North Tryon Street will be closed from Pavillion Boulevard to the county line until further notice. The HITS Unit is on scene conducting the investigation.

  The Petro Express was robbed by a B/M suspect who fled the area on foot. No injuries.

• 2600 block of West Sugar Creek Road Robbery from business—strong arm

  Wachovia was robbed by a BM suspect who fled the scene in a black Honda Civic. The suspect fled onto I-77 North. North Division officers initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and the suspect refused to stop; CMPD officers then initiated a pursuit. Troopers with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol eventually took the suspect into custody in Gaston County.

  The victim reported that they were robbed at gunpoint by two black males in all black clothing. The suspects fled on foot. No injuries.

  The Subway was robbed at gunpoint by two black males in all black both were 5'7' with a slim build. The suspects fled on foot.

• 4200 block of E. W.T. Harris Blvd. Robbery from business—armed

  This incident occurred at the Hardees Restaurant located at 4201 E. W.T. Harris Blvd. A green colored vehicle occupied by a B/M suspect approached the drive-thru window and robbed the cashier at gunpoint. No injuries.

  The victim advised that he was stabbed in the back by an unknown suspect at Club Risas located at 5542 N. Tryon Street. He was treated for NLT injuries at CMC.

  Female on a scooter was struck by a vehicle. She was transported to CMC with NLT injuries.

• 4800 block of N. Graham St Stolen vehicle

  Officers responded to the above address regarding a call for suspects tampering with a vehicle. Officers pursued the suspects on foot, and with the assistance of K9 were able to arrest 2 suspects. One was 16 years old, and the other a juvenile. Auto theft detectives responded.

• 6900 block of IBM Drive Bomb threat

  A bomb threat has been called in to Bright Horizons Daycare. The building has been evacuated and all of the children are safe and accounted for. The CFD is on scene as well assisting CMPD officers. Update at 12:30 p.m.: no suspicious devices or packages were found.

  The victim reported that they were robbed at gunpoint by three black male suspects in dark clothing. The suspects fled in a gray older model Ford Crown Victoria. No injuries.

  The McDonalds was robbed at gunpoint by a black male suspect, black baseball hat, black hooded sweatshirt and a clear mask. The suspect fled the scene in a gold Ford Explorer that was occupied by three other black males. No injuries.

  University Div. respopnded to Bolton Ct. in regards to a death investigation. The victim an 82YO male was found unresponsive by Medic, the victim was pronounced on scene. The victim was in poor health and suffered from several medical issues. The family Dr. will sign the death cert.

  The victim was drinking with friends when they began fighting. During the scuffle, one of the suspects swung a knife at the victim, nicking his finger. Medical treatment was refused.

  18 yr old male found deceased in his kitchen. No apparent signs of foul play at this time. Homicide is responding to assist per protocol.

• 200 block of Orchard Trace Lane Assault with a deadly weapon-with injury

  Domestic related shooting. Male victim sustained a gunshot wound to the abdomen area after some type of altercation with the male suspect. The victim's injuries are NLT at this time. The suspect is in custody. ADW and DV Detectives are assisting with this investigation.

• 5900 block of Old Concord Road Robbery from person—armed

  Male victim was sleeping in business (L & B Automotive) when 2 B/M suspects came to the business, 1 held him at gunpoint while the other hot-wired a U-haul truck. The suspects fled in the U-Haul truck which was also towing a 1953 Red Chevrolet Truck. No injuries, no shots fired. Suspects: #1: B/M, 6' 0", 220, yellow hoodie, blue jeans and a black semi auto. #2: B/M, 6' 0", 280, gray & blue sweater and blue jeans.
