  • 1300 block of East Blvd Accident—personal Injury

    A vehicle was cutting through the parking lot when it struck a female who was walking in the lot carrying her infant child in a papoose. The female was knocked down which caused her infant to fall out of the papoose and hit the asphalt. The child was transported with NLT head injury to the hospital for precautionary reasons.

  • East Blvd. & Charlotte Drive Accident—personal Injury

    Pedestrian struck in the intersection. The pedestrian was transported to Presbyterian Hospital with NLT injuries.

  • 2100 block of Scott Avenue Accident—personal Injury

    Vehicle ran off of the roadway and struck a power pole. The driver was transported to CMC with NLT injuries. Power outages in the area.

  • 1000 block of Blythe Blvd. Assault—physical only

    CMPD 911 received a call from CMC Main at 1103 Hrs. concerning a 11 month old juvenile that had been assaulted. This incident occurred in Richburg S. C. on 9 Sept. 09. The child is listed in serious condition with injuries to the head and upper torso area. The Chester Co. Sheriffs department will be conducting the investigation. CMPD is not a part of this investigation.

  • 400 block of E. Morehead St. Robbery from person—armed

    Victim advised he was walking down morehead when a gold colored car stopped near him. A WM suspect wearing a black hoodie jumped out and robbed him at gunpoint. No injuries.

  • 1000 block of East Boulevard Robbery from business—armed

    RBC reported that it was robbed by a BM suspect. The suspect was wearing a black stocking on his head, with a black jacket and blue jeans. He was last seen getting into a dark green or black convertible being driven by another BM subject. The car has a tan top.

  • 1800 block of South Blvd. Robbery from person—armed

    The victim advised that (3) B/M suspects attempted to rob her of her vehicle at gunpoint. The suspects fled on foot when they observed a passerby.

  • 1800 block of South Blvd. Robbery from person—armed

    3 masked suspects entered the Dunkin Donuts. 1 of the suspects pointed a gun at the employees, walked behind the register and took the till draw from the cash register. All 3 suspects then fled out the back door of the business. No shots fired, no injuries.

  • 1500 block of Cleveland Ave.

    Citizen called 911 advising a sink hold was developing at 1500 Cleveland Ave. City Street Maint. has been notified, responding. Officers are utilizing cones to warn motorist. This is not a heavily traveled street, CMPD officers will be zone checking until repairs are complete.

    The victim reported that the suspect used physical force to take property from them .The suspect is known to the victim. No injuries.

  • 100 block of Remount Road Robbery from person—armed

    The male victim was robbed and pistol whipped by 2 B/M suspects. The victim was transported by medic to the hospital prior to officers' arrival. He was located at the hospital and a report was taken from him. (Related to 2009 0421 234103). Victim's injuries are NLT.

  • 100 block of Remount Road Robbery from person—armed

    3 males who had just gotten out of jail got off the light rail at Remount to purchase some beer. They were approached shortly after their departure by 2 B/M suspects armed with handguns who demanded money from them. They gave them their money and then ran away. No shots fired, no injuries. (Related to 2009 0422 022001).

  • 1500 block of East Blvd Robbery from business—armed

    Multiple suspects entered the business armed with a long gun and a machete and demanded property. One of the suspects discharged the weapon and as a result the manager sustained minor injury. The suspects then fled on foot. The victim was transported to CMC for treatment.

  • 1600 block of Camden Rd. Breaking and entering commercial

    P3894 and P3912 made contact with a suspicious person around the 1400 block of South Blvd. Officers arrested the subject who resisted arrest. Officers deployed a TASER to control the subject. P3894 suffered a minor injury. A break in was discovered at 1602 Camden Rd. Sgt. Carey is handling the investigation.

  • 1000 block of Blythe Blvd. Missing person

    78 yr old male reported missing from CMC-Main. Unknown in beginning if he was in the hospital or not. Video tapes beginning to be viewed when info that he was put on a bus back to nursing home. Male was located at White Oak Manor on Sharon Amity, transported back to CMC to be checked out, then transported back to the nursing home.

  • 500 block of Iverson Way Assist fire department

    Working house fire. Assisting CFD with traffic and crowd control. CFD PIO Rob Brisley is on scene. Construction site at 528 Iverson Way was on fire, fire damage also caused to 524 Iverson Way as well as 425 Atherton. Arson Task Force is on scene.

    The victim reported that he was shot by an unknown B/M suspect while inside Club Apostrophe. The victim was transported to CMC with NLT injuries.

    A suspect was arrested after he broke into Sullivan's Steakhouse. Citizens assisted by keeping officers informed of where the suspect was hiding. Burglary Detective responded to interview him.

    CMPD responded to CMC in reference to an infant allegedly assaulted by a family member. Youth Crime/Domestic Violence Unit detectives responded to the hospital and initiated an investigation.

    Officers stopped a vehicle and one subject jumped and ran from the vehicle. He was apprehended and had 2 guns on him. The subject was charged with CCW and is a convicted felon.

    Male subject attempted to rob the victim while standing in the driveway. Suspect description B/M wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a green shirt underneath. Last seen running toward South Blvd.

  • 1500 block of Camden Road Robbery from business—armed

    Two B/M suspects entered the Phat Burrito, one brandished a handgun and demanded money from the cash register. Suspect #1: black hoodie, dark blue jeans, shoulder length dreadlocks, armed with handgun. Suspect #2: light blue sweatshirt, black toboggan, w/ a large band-aid or breathing strip over the bridge of his nose. Fled on foot, no shots fired, no injuries.

    The victim reported that a black male suspect used physical force to take their purse from them. The suspect was wearing a black shirt with a white shirt underneath it. The suspect fled the scene in a dark four door vehicle. No injury.

    The victim had gotten into her car and locked the doors before leaving the parking lot. She then saw a B/M with a gun approach her car and try to open the doors. The victim drove off before anything else could happen.

    Three B/M's, wearing dark clothing w/ white t-shirts covering their faces, armed w/ handguns entered the China Saute. The suspects assaulted an employee and robbed the business. The suspects fled in a white minivan. The victim in this case suffered minor injury. See related case 20081006214404.
