• 1100 block of Nations Drive Robbery from person—armed

  2 B/Fs were robbed as they exited their vehicle at the above location. An armed B/M came from around the corner and took both of the females' purses then fled the scene on foot. Suspect was wearing a gray and red hoodie. No injuries, no shots fired.

  The victim reported being robbed at gunpoint by a Hispanic male suspect, unshaven wearing a gray sweatshirt. The suspect fled on foot. No injuries.

  13 yr old female ran across the road in front of traffic and was struck by a vehicle that was travelling inbound on S. Tryon St. The female is seriously injured, but it is unknown at this time if her injuries are LT. HITS responded to assist with the investigation.

  Two subjects received non-life threatening injuries from the result of a disagreement over a business transaction. This is not a random act of violence. Three suspects are in custody.

• 4800 block of S. Tryon Street Death investigation

  Male victim found shot in the parking lot of the Embassy Suites Hotel. Victim was pronounced deceased on the scene. ADW, Homicide Detectives responded to scene. Media Briefing released.

• 7300 block of S. Tryon St. Accident—personal Injury

  Officer Pogue was driving north bound on S. Tryon when two young boys ran across the street. Officer Pogue's marked police vehicle struck the second child, 10 years old, who suffered a broken leg. CMPD PIO has already distributed a press release on this incident. HITS is investigating. There are no updates.

• 7700 block of South Tryon Street Robbery from business—strong arm

  B/M wearing a gray sweatsuit and gray bandana grabbed the victim, took the bank bag and fled the scene. K9 and helicopter standing by. No injuries reported.

  8 Month old child found unresponsive by parents. The child was transported to CMC and pronounced.

• 7700 block of S. Tryon St. Robbery from business—armed

  Steele Creek Div. responded to a robbery of the Pizza Hut 7705 S. Tryon St. The R/P reports the suspect an armed W/M entered the business through an unlocked door. The suspect pointed a gun at the victims and demanded money. The suspect assaulted victim #1 by pushing him and victim #2 by striking him in the back of the head with the gun. The suspect fled the scene on foot.

  The H/M victim was shot and robbed of his wallet by (4) B/M suspects who fled the area on foot. The victim was transported to CMC for treatment of a NLT injury.

  B/M, late 30's, 5'8", short hair, facial stubble, red shirt and jeans entered the Petro Express, laid a black gun on the counter, took money from the register and fled the scene in a older model red Honda Accord. No shots fired, no injuries.

  The victim reported being robbed by three black males who used a broken bottle to assault the victim. The victim suffered minor injuries. The suspects fled on foot.

  On June 7, 2009 at approximately 12:30 A.M. three unknown B/M suspects robbed the listed victims of thier belongings at gunpoint. The incident occured at 180 Tyvola Dr.

  The two victims advised that an unknown B/M suspect brandish a handgun while two other B/M suspects removed the items from their person without permission.

• 6800 block of Fieldvale Pl. Assault with a deadly weapon-no injury

  A mother reportedly shot a handgun at her son. The bullet struck the door of the vehicle the son was in. The victim was not injured and drove away before another shot was fired. The mother is accusing her son of stealng property from her which was the result of this incident.

  The victim reported being robbed at gunpoint by black male, light complexion, long dreadlocks. The suspect took the victim's black 2006 Dodge Magnum with 22 inch chrome rims bearing NC XSR8843. Another suspect in a silver SUV left the scene while the first suspect drove the victim's car. No injuries.

  A male and female were unloading groceries from their car when a B/M suspect came through the breezeway and demanded the male victim's wallet. Suspect was 6 ft, med build, mid 20's wearing a red hooded jacket with something covering his face. He was armed with a silver or chrome semi auto pistol. No shots fired, no injuries.
